Dorothy Further to postings advising you of the location of Loch Etive, the parishes which border on Loch Etive are Ardchattan on the northern shores and Muckairn [centred on the village that nowadays is called Taynuilt] on the southern shores. My gg grandmother was Mary MacCOLL b circa 1828 at 'Balindore', Muckairn. She married John MacNIVEN on 4 September 1846. Mary MacCOLL's parents were John MacCOLL & Ann MUNRO but I don't have any other details on them, as I am yet to research them.
