Greetings everyone Thought it may be time to repost my interests too. Seeking any (MAC)GILCHRIST'S from Kilmichael Glassary, Rothsay, Isle of Bute, Glasgow and Northbar - particularly 1600's and 1700's but more recently too. Does Northbar still exist? I understand it was a mansion-like house in it's day. Also, where exactly is/was it? One Donald MacGilchrist was a sheriff depute on Isle of Bute during the mid 1600's.
