The only thing I can think of is when Church of Scotland rebelled against the patronage of the Lairds who claimed the right to appoint ministers to the churches and the members rebelled against this resulting in the disruptions of 1843 and the formation of The Free church of Scotland. But of course there are other religiouns to consider perhaps it's just a folk tale that may not be true, not all Oral tradition is acurate. Jim McPherson
