Many thanks to all those who replied to my question about the floating church. How wonderful is this list??! I'd hunted on the web several times, but looking for 'Iron Church' & not finding anything. Now there's all this fascinating information. How indeed did people 'do' family history before the web?? (That's a rhetorical question - I don't really want to be told about the hours/ weeks/ years of sending letters, waiting for answers.... it's too big a job to contemplate!).
