Liz There seems to be no Rootsweb list for Elgin equivalent to this one for Argyll, but you might find it worthwhile to investigate Rootsweb's SCT-NECOAST list, which has a slightly broader coverage, describing itself as "A mailing list for anyone with a genealogical interest in the fishing villages on the northeast coast of Scotland, from Nairn to the southern boundary of Kincardine including Aberdeen, and their connection with the sea". In case it helps, the county in which Elgin is located has been called at different times both Elginshire and Morayshire.
