Col I'm a bit puzzled by your answer. Leith is nearer north than east of central Edinburgh - it is in fact the port of Edinburgh. Whether it is "behind" Holyrood Palace is a matter of opinion, depending which way you're facing, but I guess that most people living here (I'm in Edinburgh at present) would say that Arthur's Seat (a hill) is the feature most evidently behind the Palace - it's certainly much nearer, but to the south. You're right about Britannia.
