Greetings from Your Friendly List Administrator, While trying to make the Rootsweb computer smarter <sigh>, it now interprets blank subject lines as attempts to subscribe. There is an easy fix - just make sure you have a lovely, informative subject line and all your fellow list members will be: a) able to read your posting because Rootsweb bounces those with blank subject lines back to me - or worse, they go to the list and never get that wonderful list tag letting everyone know it's from a list and is not a mail virus. b) able to tell without opening each one (in digest mode) which folks they can best assist. c) introduced to you and your genealogy quest properly and most successfully. A neat, tidy and helpful subject line would contain the surname of the folks you're looking for, a date or approximation thereof and maybe even a location.
