A sister of my g-g-grandfather, Marjory McDonald married Dugald McPherson and had one son that I know of, John, who appears in the 1851 census with the family of my g-g-grandfather Alexander McDonald and his wife Ann (Stewart) and their family. John was 12 years of age at this stage. The family was at Tayfurst, the birth place of John McPherson, at the time of the 1851 census.
