Tracy My information suggests that there was an Arisaig in both counties, or - more likely - one Arisaig that crossed the county boundary in 1900. A list of parish registration numbers that I picked up some years ago shows - Arisaig in Argyll - Parish no 505/2 from 1855 to1899 Arisaig in Invernessshire - Parish no 091B from 1900 to1955 West Arisaig in Argyll - Parish no 505/4 from 1855 to 1930 West Arisaig in Argyll - Parish no 505/3 from 1931 to 1955 An obituary in 1900 would have been just after the change.
