I.B. Duncan, by License #006645 Donald McFARLANE, 36, residing in Plympton, born in Scotland, bachelor, farmer, son of Donald McFARLANE & Isabella McLAUGHLIN to Ellen BUCHANAN, 21, residing in Plympton, born in Scotland, spinster, daughter of Duncan & Annie Buchanan, Witnesses - John Douglass & Neil McCall, Plympton in Plympton, Apr. 2, 1873, both Presbyterian, Rev. I. B. Duncan, by license. Ellen Buchanan, aka Helen, is the sister of my ggrandfather John Buchanan. I had many questions upon finding these marriage records. -Are Christina McLAUGHLIN & Isabella McLAUGHLIN related, possibly sisters? - Are Christina McFARLANE & Donald McFARLANE related? - Neil McCALL, the witness, was a neighbour of the BUCHANANs in Plympton, but is there a family connection as well. The Buchanan's came to Canada in 1851 when Ellen was only 2 months old, first to Puslinch Twp., Wellington County, Ontario, where they rented property and then to Plympton Twp., Lambton county where they purchased lot 28, 12th concession, Plympton twp., lambton county, propery which backed up to the farm owned by Duncan's brother, Hugh. I'm not sure when the McColls arrived. I hope this is of some help. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who can answer any of my questions as well. Dorothy from Ontario
