While we are on the subject of McColls, there is a McColl cemetery in Elgin County, near Lambton County. I purchased a copy from the Elgin County Genealogical Society. My great grandmother Ann McColl married to Donald McPhail came out to Canada in 1885 when she was about 65. She died in 1915 and is buried in Gillies Cemetery. We surmise that the McColl connection brought them to Elgin County. Ann McColl was born in Lismore about 1819.
