Edd, When I visited that area in June last year, I photographed a number of tombstones in Appin/Portnacroish , a few of these were McColls as well as the Buchanans for which I was searching. Some, because they were overgrown with moss, etc, did not come out clearly enough in the pictures for me to transcribe. I hope these might be some of the ones for which you are searching. I believe some of them had also been tenants on Invernahyle farm in that area, as were the Buchanans. Maybe someone with access to cemetery transcripts there could help you out more. 1.In memory of Donald MCCOLL, fox hunter, aged 93 Also his wife Ann RANKIN, died 6 July 1880, aged 86 2. In loving memory of Flora MCCOLL, beloved wife of Alexander MCLEAN, died at Achosrican, 18th May 1942 Their son, Paul, died 13th May 1945, aged 48 years The above Alexander McLEAN, died 24th Oct 1959, aged 96 years Their daughter Helen McCOLL, died 4th March 2000, aged 95 years. Coincidentally, McCalls/McCalls were next door neighbours in Lambton Co., Ontario of my gggrandparents. I believe there are also some buried in the Cemetery there if you are interested. Somewhere in my collection I also have a couple of marriage records involving McCall/McCalls. I'll send those along to you too when I rediscover them. Good luck in your search.
