Hi Carla, I ordered the 1851 UK census on CD-ROM from America only to discover it was the same bits and pieces I could pick up on the web. To add insult to injury I then received a bill for duty and VAT. Apparently all new goods imported into the EU are subject to duty and VAT, if the value is over £18.00. The duty and VAT is paid not only on the value of the goods, but also the transportation and handling costs. If you return the goods keep your receipt as proof of return. Sheena. Scotland.
