Hi Listers, As people seem to be posting their great grandparents to the List, thought I would add mine. Sorry if this is going to be a nuisance to those of you who do not subscribe to the Digest form of the List, but here goes: My husband's great grandparents were: 1. Thomas Henry BROWN,bricklayer and then Clerk of Works, born in Kenilworth,Warwickshire, 1842, son of John BROWN and Mary LEATHERLAND. He was married in1874 at St. Mary the Virgin, Welford, Northampton to 2. Emily KNIGHT, born in Welford, Northamptonshire, 1851, daughter of Thomas KNIGHT and Louisa BILLING. The BROWNs moved to West Derby, Liverpool sometime after their marriage. 3. John ELLIS, Master butcher and Justice of the Peace, born in Liverpool, 1862, son of John ELLIS ( from Flint, Wales ) and Frances WOOLLEY ( from Cheshire ). He was married in 1883 at Christ Church, Kensington, Liverpool to 4. Mary Jane GUNN, born in Eyemouth, Berwickshire, 1860, daughter of Daniel / Donald GUNN and Mary PURVES. 5. ? McCRUMLISH born possibly in Killyclogher, Co. Tyrone 6. unknown at this time Their daughter was Rose- Anne McCRUMLISH born in Omagh, Tyrone in 1884. Rose-Anne married Patrick TRAYNOR abt. 1907. 7.unknown TRAYNOR 8.unknown My great grandparents were: 1. Neil SMITH, shipwright, born in Kilmartin, Argyllshire, Scotland, 1844, son of Angus SMITH and Margaret ORR. He was married in 1872 at 10 Terrace Road, Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland to 2. Jane MCPHAIL born in Lochgair, Argyllshire in 1845, daughter of Duncan MCPHAIL and Sarah DEWAR. 3. James McMillan JOHNSTONE, journeyman enginefitter, born in Old Cumnock, Ayrshire, Scotland in 1859, son of John JOHNSTONE and Jean Mitchell MCMILLAN. He was married in 1882 in Old Cumnock, Ayrshire to 4. Penuel Baillie ROSS born in Old Cumnock, Ayrshire in 1857, the daughter of Alexander ROSS and Margaret DUNSMORE 5. Archibald Carr BURNS, marine engineer, born in Tynemouth, Northumberland in 1860, son of Andrew BURNS and Susan GOODMAN. He was married in 1888 at St. Stephen's Church, Low Elswick, Newcastle-upon-Tyne to 6. Mary Graham HUNTER,born in Newcastle in 1866, daughter of John Thomas Burdon HUNTER and Mary GRAHAM. 7. William ALMOND, fish auctioneer, born in Hepscott, Morpeth, Northumberland in 1863, son of Wright ALMOND and Ruth Julia COWANS. He was married in 1892 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland to 8. Lizzie Isabel HERDMAN, born in Seaton Delaval, Bebside, Co. Durham in 1866, daughter of William HERDMAN and Elizabeth Mary MARSHALL.
