Hello Argyll, I am new to this list and would be thrilled if anyone has any connections with or ideas regarding my Argyllshire ancestors. My GGG-Grandmother was Mary McNeil born on the Isle of Gigha in 1799. She had somehow reached Ayrshire and married Ronald Morrison there in 1824. Her parents were Murdoch McNeil and Catherine McGougan who married in 1789 in Killean and Kilchenzie. They seem to have produced many children on Gigha but I don't know how to follow them. I can't find Murdoch McNeil's birth nor Catherine McGougan's either. I've sent for the Gigha PRs but they have not arrived yet. Many thanks for any help. Mary in Australia
