Hi Listers Iain Thornber, who has, as previously advised, just published an update of the Rev Norman MacLeod's 19th century "Morvern Revisited - Reminiscences of a Highland Parish" under the title "Morvern: A Highland Parish" will, later this year, continue his books on Morvern Parish. The new book "From Time to Eternity" has entailed his recording the inscriptions (MIs) and designs of over 250 gravestones and will relate the history of Keil Church and Graveyard at Lochaline. The book will include, where possible, notes on all those mentioned on the stones cross-referenced with photographs, drawings, census material, births, marriages, deaths, obituaries, and local newspaper articles. The main families commemorated by the stones are : MacInnes, Cameron, MacLachlan, MacLean, MacDonald, Sinclair, Livingstone, Currie, Campbell, MacIntyre and MacMaster. Given the standard of Iain's previous book I'm sure this will not only be a great help to Family Historians/Researchers but also just a good read.
