    3. My 4-g-grandparents, Archibald and Mary CARMICHAEL, left Lismore in 1774 on the Jupiter of Larne. They settled first in Richmond Co., NC, then Marion Co., SC. My 3-g-grandparents Duncan and Katherine CARMICHAEL McCORMICK sailed from Appin in 1791, settling in Richmond Co., NC. Though they were married in Glasgow, I believe that Duncan and Katherine were, also, natives of the Isle of Lismore, but I haven't found proof of this yet. Is anyone doing research on the CARMICHAELs, McCORMICKs or Lismore? Nancy Brister bristern@datastar.net www.geocities.com/twincousin2334
