    3. Hi Nancy: I am researching McColls from Lismore. Would you have passenger lists for the ships you mention in your email? 3. Hello Nancy, I too have a missing link with the McColl surname and Lismore/Appin areas in Scotland ca. 1800's. My 2grt grand parents were living in Nova scotia, when their son Neil was born in 1842 Edd Sinnett in Florida ----- Original Message ----- From: "Margaret Kipp" <margaretkipp@rogers.com> To: <SCT-ARGYLL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 10, 2003 5:36 PM Subject: Re: [ARGYLL] Isle of Lismore > Hi Nancy: I am researching McColls from Lismore. 3. Hi Margaret and Edd, This is a list of the passengers on the Jupiter of Larne. You'll notice a lot of passengers listed as "McCole." I think this is probably "McColl." Many of my McCormick and Carmichael families are buried in the Stewartsville Cemetery in Richmond Co. (later Scotland County), North Carolina. This cemetery also has many "McColls" listed......most of the early settlers who were buried in this cemetery were from Appin, Argyllshire, Scotland, and many came on the Jupiter of Larne. But I don't recall any "McColes" buried in there, so it makes more sense that "McCole" is actually "McColl." But I don't know for sure, I'll check the cemetery survey first chance I get. McColls married into both my McCormick and Carmichael families. Did any of your McColls settle in Richmond County? I have a lot of Scottish passenger and immigrant books. Are there any names I can look up for you? (I'm afraid there'll probably be too many choices instead of none......so many people had the same given and surnames. But I'll be happy to check.)
