I would be most grateful for help with the following request from an older friend who does not have 1881 census for Argyll. He write below and the information seems scanty to me! In 1881 my grandfather William Semple was farming "Dippen" at Carradale and his brother was farming "Rhonadale" the adjoining farm . These farms are at Carradale in Kintyre part of Argyllshire. Please could you check for their families in both places. Thank you I did find a William Semple born in 1861 in Kilninian so, if he's the same he'd be about 21.
