Billy & Chris Not seen 'Ivie' before, but in modern time Ian is often used as an alternative to John, in much the same way that some people whose 'official' name is James, are known to friends and family as Hamish. Is there any chance that 'Ivie' could be a mis-transcription of 'Ian'?
