Hi listers, I have just come across this great site which some of you might find helpful http://www.glasgowguide.co.uk/info-gstreets3.html It lists most of the old street names and cites the origin of the name. For example, Goosedubbs (which was recently "on the list" got its name from the fact that the Provost's geese grazed there, not (as I thought) from being the place where poultry was killed and plucked.
