    3. Hi Ian, also for Jane who queried my McKenzie line. I am sorry for not being more specific. Unfortunately I do not have a location, I am really just taking a stab at this. My forenames would likely be John whose father was most likely Hugh, based on continued naming pattern carried on in the family. The first middle name we have was b in late 1800s and was Hugh Alexander and there are no other Alexanders connected to our family or collateral families, as an fyi. It seems, John fathered a son, Hugh, in Halifax or Pictou, Nova Scotia abt 1790-1800 and could have been military up to 1787ish or not, but was in Nova Scotia for the birth of Hugh according to a land petition of Hugh's. Hugh eventually married into a family from Arran that arrived in Canada about 1828. Hope this helps. Much aloha, Lorna ----- Original Message ----- From: Ian Phillips To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, October 13, 2006 9:42 PM Subject: Re: [ARGYLL] lookup "Inhabitans of the Argyll Estates" Hi Lorna, There are many McKenzies listed. 3. Dear Ian, Are there any John McKenzie and Lillias McKenzie couple in this record around 1790 - 1800 + years? How big was this estate?
