Has anyone ever seen the name Siddie? I was wondering if it could have been Liddie in the census instead of Siddie. With Liddie, could her name have been Lydia? That is a great website--http://www.whatsinaname.net. I also would like to add that my gggrandmother was Sarah O'Neill, born in Ireland. I found a copy of the marriage papers for her daughter where her signature looks more like "Settie" than anything else. I figure that's a phonetic spelling of "Sadie", one pet name for "Sarah". Sarah / Sally / Saly are the same
My gggrandmother's name was Sidney. I think Sidney may be interchangeable with Sarah. Another interchangeable name in my tree is Ewan/Hugh. Wayne. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sarah Jane Mckenzie" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, 29 October 2006 11:36am Subject: Re: [ARGYLL] Donald /Daniel interchangeable first names? > Has anyone ever seen the name Siddie?
