    3. Hi List, Can someone advise me on the use of some descriptive Gaelic words attached to some of my ancestors? “Og” , “Oig” and “Oigh” meaning small or young “Mor “ and “Mhor” meaning large, old or great “Dg” meaning nothing that I can determine “Dhu” meaning dark or black I realise that these words may be used in sentences but my concern is when they are inserted between given names and surnames. What are the differences between spellings? Gender? When used in names, should they be capitalized? I have seen the letter “o” with either grave or acute accents and sometimes with none. Any help from the Gaelic speakers would be appreciated.
