Lorna, Jean and others, Like Catherine, I see that many Rootsweb lists show the 'how to unsuscribe' message, but they don't all include the subscriber's email address, so I'm at a loss to understand why some, including the Argyll one, do. Maybe the list administrator will look into this. At the same time, it may be worth noting that, no matter what appears at the bottom of a message, the full name and email address of the person posting appears in the Rootsweb archives for all to see - and use. Not everyone will be comfortable with that and I have my doubts myself. However, I've also made use of it more than once, to contact someone who'd posted a long time ago, so I think I'll take the rough with the smooth - all in the good cause of tracing my ancestors.
