Hi Listers, I am new to your list, and am seeking information of a marriage: Finlay SMITH. m. Catharine SMITH. date unknown, supposedly 1857 in Killarrow. Children found via IGI; Mary.b.1858, Archibald.b.1860, and Duncan.b.1865, - are listed as having been born there. I have searched IGI Batch Nbrs etc. According to a New Zealand Certificate of Marriage; Archibald SMITH, m. Isabella PATTERSON. 1880; he states he was born in Bowmore, Scotland. Apparently Archibalds parents were in New Zealand as well, as an Intention to Marry said they were to marry in the home of Finlay Smith. Haven't been able to locate Findlay in New Zealand as yet. Family have said that Finlay's father was also named Archibald. I have the 1881 Census, but think this is too late for this family line. Would appreciate info on the Scottish side of things, to vertify info. TIA Val Riddell Aussie
