Hello Peggy There was so much detail in your mail that I had trouble seeing who was who, but I do have a couple of ideas that you may or may not already know: 1) There seem to be at least 5 different people researching these Strachur Montgomerys on Genes Reunited so it might be worth signing up there. www.genesreunited.co.uk If, for some reason, this is not possible, I could possibly try to contact them passing a message on from you if that would help. 2) I don't know how long it is since you lost touch, but I understand there are still Montgomerys there in the village, and it's so small that I would think that a letter addressed to them at or near the Smiddy should find them.
