My grandmother's younger brother, John Smith Flockhart NISBET (widower of Sarah Carmichael), died in Edinburgh in 1947. The informant on his death registration was Robert NISBET, son, 2 Burnbank Terrace, Oban. According to my father, John (who was born in 1871) had two children, a boy, Bob, and a girl, so Bob was probably the informant mentioned above. Unfortunately nothing more is known about this branch of the family, although I can go back many generations and would love to share the information with any "new" relatives -- IF I could find them! Two other brothers went to Australia, but I have no details of who they married, etc. I would really like to find a male Nisbet relative to participate in a Nisbet DNA project. Also would like to invite any Nisbets (or Nesbitts or other variations) to the international Gathering of the Clan the first weekend of August, to be held in Michigan, USA.
