Hi Mary & all, (Don't know if listers are interested in this followup, but a new surname McPhail has been introduced by Mary) I do have a Christian McPhail born 27 Aug 1829 at Kilcalmonell and Kilberry. I dont know yet who she married . Could be James McKeich. James is a predominant name with the McKeich family. Will check further. I do know Christian McPhail's parents were Archibald McPhail and Effen Gilchrist. Strange coincidence but Effy's mother was a Betsy McKeich or Keith. Do you know anything more about your Christina?(another name for Christian). Any Archibalds, Angus, or Effy in her descendents? Will talk more.
