    3. Hi Luis, Alma & everyone, My great great great grandparents were Hugh MCGREGOR (1802 - 1874) & Mary HOUSTON (1809 - abt. 1890) who married in Balquhidder, Perth in 1832. As far as we can tell, his parents were John MCGREGOR & Janet MCGREGOR & her parents were Peter HOUSTON & Mary Stewart from Trinity Gask, Perth. Hugh & Mary had sons John 1833, James 1834 & Robert 1836 in Balquhidder, then the next 9 children were born starting about 1839 in Argyll. Hugh was overseer at Inverneill & at Taynish - both CAMPBELL owned properties. Even some of the children had CAMPBELL middle names. I think there was a very close, likely family, relationship between my MCGREGORs and the land owning CAMPBELLs. Hugh was likely hand picked to come to Argyll to run these farms. I've not been able to sort out Hugh's siblings back in Balquhidder. There were so many MCGREGORs there at the time, all with the SAME given names! I do know of 1 brother, Duncan MCGREGOR, who at 10 years younger than Hugh would be born about 1812. We only know of Duncan because he came to Argyll with them, but I don't know what became of him. The next generation on, Dugald Cambell MCGREGOR (b. 1849 at Taynish, d. 1929 at Balihourgan) married Margaret MCMILLAN (1862 - 1932) in Govan in 1883 (was just looking at the children's births & it seems Dugald, as informant, didn't know his wedding anniversary - he gave 4 different dates over the years!) The only Kilchrenan MCGREGOR I have in my files is one I gathered by mistake & paid for at scotlandspeople, but kept because I paid for it! lol I have a 1892 birth for a Jessie MCGREGOR d/o Gregor MCGREGOR & Jessie QUINTON??? b. May 5, 1892 at Sonorhan?? Cottage. Many of my MCGREGORs migrated to Govan & Greenock. Mary in Canada
