A query --- With the fall at Culloden in 1746 and with that, the failure to bring a catholic king to Britain (ie Bonny Prince Charlie), what was the atmosphere after 1746, what happened to those with catholic leanings? Were they included in the persecutions that fell upon the Jacobites? What was the general atmosphere? It seems there were quite a number of highland people caught in this dire situation.
