January 20th 1866 in Ariundle, Strontian (that's next to Scotstown). Age 72. Parents John Cameron, crofter, deceased and Mary Cameron maiden name MacLean deceased. "Debility from old age", No Medical Attendant. Alex MacPherson son present. David McPherson (Widower) Shoemaker. May 19th 1871 Ariundle, Strontian. Age 67. Father Alexander McPherson, crofter. Alex McPherson, son, present. It doesn't mention his wife's name. A third death certificate might show a brother to David I suppose, but all that connects them is a father named Alexander in Strontian: Alexander Macpherson, Lead Miner, Married to Ann MacPherson. February 28th 1865 Scotstown of Strontian. Age 63. Parents: Alexander Macpherson (Stone Mason deceased) Jessie Macpherson maiden name Cameron. Acute cystitis ten days. Allan? McPherson son present. For my own research, I am looking for information on a Donald Macpherson and wife, father of Hugh. Hugh had children with Catharine MacPhee, including John (ca 1802), Hugh (ca 1806), Duncan (ca 1794) and Martain (before 1794). I have some good leads (there is a Donald MacPherson and Christy MacPherson who might fit the bill as parents) but nothing definitive. John and Hugh were born in Sunart, and John was later in Achateny.
