Dear Les Thank you so much for taking the time to check my Paterson/Jackson connections in the Oban Times. I do have the records thanks you mention for Colin's birth and his parent's marriage. It just occurred to me that another of the Paterson brothers Joseph who was a doctor and builder (apparently) in Oban went bankrupt in 1851. Do you know Les if there would be any records anywhere of sequestration proceedings? I can find Joseph's wife Catherine and their two children; Catherine and Quintin in the 1851 census living in Oban and after that can find no trace. Thanks again Les for your very kind help.
