    3. Many thanks for looking up for me. I found them back in 1861, 1871, 1881 and 1891 when Ann McKIRDY is aged 65 yrs., but I am presently having difficulties with 1901. Initially I looked for the family in IGI using John and Ann VANCE - I couldn't find the marriage - but it turned up children and two who may have died in infancy and didn't find Williamina, or Minnie as she was named in 1891. I had a feeling somehow that the surname might be called WHYTE because I'm sure I've it spelled that way in the name of an Informant of the death of one of the family. They were living at 109 Glebe Street in 1881 and by this time she was Minnie McKIRDY. Thanks for your help The McKIRDY name seems to be in an abundance in Bute.
