Dear List There was a query the other day regarding the location of Balimore, Kilmichael. In his answer, Les gave further information which I've quoted below - "Ballimore was as its name suggests - the town - the main settlement of Kilmichael in Kilmichael Glassary Parish and is where the Parish Church is to be found. At one time it consisted, in the mid 1800s, of some 30 odd crofts/holdings". I'm puzzled about this description of Balimore and would be very interested to know where Les got his information.
