Hello Duncan and Pam, Yes I do have a copy of Morvern Transformed - A Highland Parish in the Nineteenth Century by Philip Gaskell published in 1968 by Cambridge University Press which I obtained online from "abe books", cost was 15 pounds, the book is in very good condition. If you google abe books you can search by Title or Author. I have no connection to abe books other than a satisfied customer as I have purchased several out of print books through their service. Yes, Duncan Campbell of Barr { sometimes spelled Baar } was a tenant farmer at Barr 1754 - 1792 the lease was not renewed in 1792. There is more detailed information about the increase in rents from 31 pounds to 80 pounds. There is a good map showing Barr as one of the larger properties on the side of Loch Teacuis which flows into Loch Sundart. There are also several pages of pictures, one that I particularly liked shows the farms separated by "stane dykes". I haven't seen the name Mungostle but there is a property which abuts Barr named Mungasdail. I have a Table showing that 1423 people were evicted from Morvern between 1831 - 1881 which I can send to you as an attachment if you would like to see it. I would recommend purchasing the book if you can as one really needs to study the details. Regards, Mary Vancouver Island, B.C. Canada
