    2. Hello I am trying to trace any relatives of Daniel McLeish (banker in Fort William) My relative Jane Scott Linton married him in 1862 at Coruanan Farm, Onich but she died in 1871 age 40 after having about 4 children. He is mentioned in Jane's fathers will (James Linton) and they are both buried in the family plot in Fort William. 3. Dear Catherine, I have a bunch of MacLeishes, but they all seem to have originated in Perthshire. Still, maybe the names will mean something to you: John Mac(Mc)LEISH married Mary MacLAREN 10 November 1827 in Little Dunkeld. These are the children I've found, all born in Little Dunkeld: Janet, 1828 William, 1831 James, 1833 (m. Margaret CAMERON) John, 1835 Donald, 1839 (m. Catherine PATEN 1882; m. Ellin MENZIES 1889; m. Janet ANDERSON 1901) Archibald, 1841 (m. Catherine MENZIES 1879) James had at least two children, John and Margaret. Donald had at least one child by Catherine PATEN: John; he had two children by Ellin MENZIES: Christina and Mary (died as an infant). I haven't been able to find out what happened to John or Christina. Archibald had one child: Archibald Donald. He never married, and died in Duror, Argyll. Ellin(Helen) and Catherine MENZIES were sisters, daughters of John MENZIES of Duror, Argyll. If there's anything here that rings any bells, do let me know. Sheila in Missouri
