I certainly have quite a few among my ancestors and generally feel that all the Cowal and beyond branches must have been connected somewhere up or down the line. I understand Duncan Beaton has written some really worthwhile articles on the McKellars. I still want to read them myself, if I knew where to apply for them. Maybe Duncan or someone else could point me in the right direction. And perhaps you would find them interesting, too. I wouldn't expect Ross-shire to be an obvious port of call for Agnes/Anne, unless she married a Daniel/Donald Ross from that part of the country, maybe a cattle drover or someone else who got about a bit. And maybe the marriage would have been recorded in parishes in Argyll and Logie Ross-shire? Names: I'm no expert, but I understand and experience has shown me that Agnes and Anne were often interchangeable and so certainly possible on different records for one and the same person. If I come across anything I'll let you know. I think I have them all!! I was in touch with him a while back and the last article is about a member of my family!! I'll try to get round to doing that sometime today. I have had a look for the Agnes McKellar in my own records but although I have a Duncan and Mary Mckellar and an Agnes as daughter of them, they belong to earlier generations. My McKellar family were from Argyll. My Great Grandfather Duncan McKellar emigrated from Kilmichael. Could I impose on you to share his articles with me also.
