    3. ERECTED | BY | DUNCAN McCOLL | IN MEMORY OF HIS THREE | CHILDREN WHO DIED | IN INFANCY | AND TO MARK THE GRAVE | OF HIS FOREFATHERS | WHO ARE INTERRED HERE | 1872 This is the transcription of THE memorial stone at the overgrown graveyard at the Glen Etive Estate. It was kindly sent to me by Angela Dingwall at the estate together with photos that I cannot post here but would happily share with anyone. I do not know if any attempt has ever been made to clear and inspect this burial site. It is said that, when Duncan McColl erected this stone, the old stones were already damaged or illegible. However, his inscription clearly indicates that earlier McColls, his forefathers, were buried there. Surely it would not have been only McColls interred there but also other names associated with this estate or location. Best wishes Bill Webster Sydney
