Hi John, At what stage did the descendants in Ft Wm hold the letter - you say "is held" but must mean "was"?? The only thing I can think of is researching the marriages of the girls in the family. I have some Ayrshire and Welsh family letters from the late 19th early 20th century which I didn't know existed until after my Mum died - so you never know - someone may have them. If they do genealogy they might notice your messages but it is quite a big ask! How about trying some surname lists, including any names you find the girls married into?
