Hi everyone, In the Ancestry 1851 census, I have Archibald Whyte (should be Whiteford) living at Clachan, Rasay (sic) who is recorded as being born at "Kr Kassan, Argyllshire". In the Ancestry 1861 census, I have him (actually transcribed this time as Archibald Whiteford!) living at Fearns, Raasay and this time his place of birth is recorded as "MacHermon, Argyllshire". Can anyone please help me with where he actually may have been born, as I can't fathom what these places actually were. Thank you very much, Paul
