    3. Hi everyone,   I am sending a link to CanadaGenWeb's cemetery project in Canada as I am sure it will help those of you whose ancestors seem to have disappeared, when they actually ended up in Canada in the 1800's.     This notice came to me earlier today with the announcement that additional monuments had been photographed.  I immediately went onto the site and looked up the Kilmartin cemetery, and looked at a marker for a 46 year old McCallum who was born in 1810 and died in 1856.  It is a very old marker and difficult to see the bottom where there appears to be information about possibly where the person was born. There is the name of a person who is willing to go out to the cemetery to do lookups, and there is also a way of accessing OCFA, the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid to find where ancestors are likely to be buried.  Not all cemeteries are on, but many are.  Although I didn't look today to see if there is one for Kilmartin, other groups are busy collecting monumental inscriptions.   Cheers, Margaret in Toronto   CanadaGenWeb's Cemetery Project http://cemetery.canadagenweb.org
