Greetings All, Would anyone be kind enough to look up 1841 and later Glasgow census returns please? I'm seeking data on some Sinclair siblings, possibly Phillip, Donald, Margarate and Jean/Jane. In March 1840, John Sinclair, who the previous year, with wife, three children and three sisters, had arrived in Adelaide on the Palmyra, wrote to a brother and sister in Glasgow about the voyage and the death of a son. I would like to know who these Glasgow siblings were! The only known sisters of John went to Australia with him, and one would hardly have had time to return to Scotland by March. Could the 'sister' have been a sister-in-law?? I have no knowledge of the death of a son on the Palmyra. The only known son of John was born in Edinburgh shortly before sailing, and died in Australia in 1911. Perhaps he was a twin!! Any data would be greatly appreciated.
