    3. Is anyone out there researching a Gilbert Mac/McIntyre who was born around 1777? Probably in Glenorchy. I know for sure that mine married Flory Mac/McCallum in Ardchattan in 1802. They had Donald, Archibald, Catherine, Archibald, and Isable. All this came from an elderly auntie and was verified by OPRs. But then things get hairy. The 1841 census report in Black Crofts (where my gran herself was born) has Gilbert, 70, Bell, 20, Ann, 15, Catherine, 14, Mary McKenzie, 25, all at the same residence along with kids Flora McKenzie and Donald McKenzie (as you recall, 1841 doesn't give relationships). I've tracked Mary, and she was Mary MacIntyre, married to Donald McKenzie, and these were her first two kids, aptly named. BUT the only possible Mary MacIntyre in that time period was born to Gilbert MacIntyre and Ann Connel in Lismore parish, the next parish over. Also, the only possible parents for Ann were Gilbert MacIntyre and Ann Connel. There also seems to have been a son, Malcom. At first I figured this was a second marriage for Gilbert, but that doesn't work out, as the births overlap for several years. No mentions in the OPR of the Lismore kids being illegitimate. So I'm figuring there were two Gilbert MacIntyre families. But how to sort them out? Any ideas out there? Sheila in Missouri
