Hi all, is there anywhere that I could search MI's for Kilmelfort. My ancestor died in Oban and according to a newspaper report he was 'buried with kindred dust in the Churchyard at Kilmelfort' He died in Feb 1859 apparently at the age of 94 Kind regards Liz Langmann South Africa
All of my paternal grandfathers line come from Nether Lorn but none of my my direct ancestors I know of had headstones. One mistake I made in my early days of research was to confuse Oban, the modern town today, with Oban Seil . I have a copy of Stewart Campbell's Index to the old Cemetary at Kilninver. Could she please give details of whom she's looking for.
