Interesting. I have decided to consider that Donald LIVINGSTON did not originate in Mull where his wife lived for a great deal of her life but she was brought there by her parents from Banff. Elspeth and her sister who was my Gt Gt Gt grandmother were born They made their way from Rathven and stayed in Edinburgh where a son was born 1812 and 1822 respectively and their baby brother Alexander born in 1833 and from there they went to Mull to take up the Inn at Salen. Their father was retired from the military at that time. Alexander found a wife in Edinburgh and took her back to Mull, so its reasonable to consider that Elspeth b 1812 found her husband, Donald LIVINGSTON in mainland Scotland. Their son James was born about 1833 but I know not where as yet for that may be a good clue.
