I am trying to sort out the Byrd/Bird families of Sumter District from 1840 and back. So far I have found the family of Sutton and his nephew George who moved to MS about 1825. George's son Redden who moved to Darlington District about 1830. Here are a few I don't about. Who were the following: Patrick Byrd who applied for Administration of Zecheriah and Rhodency Byrd in 1839? Administration was given to Nancy Byrd instead. Nancy -- was she Zecheriah's wife? Zecheriah -- who were his parents? Rhodency -- mentioned in the original admin. on Zecheriah, but nowhere else in the admin papers to whom did he/she belong?
