Searching for information on the DWYER and JOYE families in Old Sumter District. I know that Samuel DWYER served in the Revolution and died in 1832. His son James DWYER (1784 - 20 Jan 1866) was my ggg grandfather. His daughter Martha E. DWYER (4 Dec 1815 - 3 Apr 1885) married Francis E. JOYE (6 Jul 1812 - 26 Aug 1838). Their children included Sarah Adelaide JOYE (who married John Franklin McINTOSH) and Legrand Wheeler JOYE (who married Martha Theresa RHAME). I would appreciate ANY information on these DWYER and JOYE families, I have a fair amount to share on RHAME and McINTOSH families. Thanks, Bill McIntosh
