My GG-Grandfather WILLIAM HAMILTON STEPHENSON was born in 1817 in SC. I have not been able to find his parents or siblings. A subscriber recently sent a message that stated Benjamin Rufus purchased land from Jacob H. Whitehead in Claredon on the south side of the Black River SW, on Grog and Stephenson Branches.
