Hello I questions about the ealry newspapers of Sumter/Clarendon/Lee county area. Did the area have local papers from 1820-1880? What are the names of those papers? Are any collections of local newspaper in existence? Have any been microfilmed or transcribed? If there is a transcription project I am wiling to help if I can even though I live in Idaho.
